Artist Marion Montague Junkin was born 8/23/1905. He was head of the art department at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA. I like this image. It reveals mortal pain that cannot possibly be deserved. It reveals the cruelty of Man. We all must defy our cruelty and crush it without mercy into ancient history. And atone.
